How to search for a collection site

Step 1: Enter your suburb in the search bar below.

Step 2: View a list of nearby collection points, including their address, operating hours, and contact details.

​

Step 3: Ensure your bags are residue free and eligible, and always follow the site’s guidelines for drop-offs.

As bagMUSTER grows, more collection sites will be added across Victoria, and eventually nationwide. Keep checking back for new locations near you!

How to prepare your bags for recycling with bagMUSTER

 

Proper preparation of your bags is crucial to ensure efficient recycling and smooth operations at bagMUSTER collection sites. Follow these four steps to get your bags ready for drop-off:

​1. Confirm eligibility of your bags

 

Only single-use PP bags purchased from participating retailers after 1 October 2024 are eligible for the program. For ease of verification, check that the bag's weave is visible and that it meets the eligibility criteria. Visit our eligible bags webpage to see which retail stores are part of the program.

​3. Remove non-polypropylene liners and labels

 

Check your bags for any liners, labels, or attachments made from non-polypropylene (non-PP) materials. These must be removed prior to drop-off to ensure the bags meet the recycling requirements.

​2. Ensure bags are clean and empty

 

Before bringing your bags to a collection site, ensure they are completely clean and empty. Shake out all residue, bags with residue cannot be accepted, as cleanliness is critical for the recycling process.

4. Neatly roll or fold bags

​

Prepare your bags for transport by rolling or folding them neatly. This step ensures efficient handling, transportation, and storage at the collection site, while also making it easier for you to transport your bags.

​By following these simple steps, you’ll help streamline the recycling process and contribute to a more sustainable agricultural future.

If there isn’t a collection site near you yet, don’t worry! The bagMUSTER program is in the process of expanding, with new locations being added regularly.
